Hello Everyone,
This is Diane Ele, Founding President of Bridges of Peace and on Dec. 11th,
I covered a big event at Madison Square Garden, New York. It was the Z100 Jingle Ball Concert 2003. Miss USA Susie Castillo was there and she stopped in the press room to pose for photos and talk to the press on the podium microphone. Well, she says, "ask me something about World peace, I can answer that". So no one did, so I spoke up and asked her if she thought music could help make peace and she said how she really believes in it and that we should have a concert for the Iraqi's.
Anyway, after she was done on the podium, I went to the side and told her about what we are doing. I gave her my business cards and interviewed her again. She said some people think it's a joke when miss usa says she supports world peace since the 1960's winner said that in an interview and won but Susie said that she really believes in it.
I asked her if she would support Bridges of Peace and she was like sure!
So on camera, she says "Hi, I'm Susie Castillo, Miss USA and I support World Peace and Bridges of Peace."
